Dean Martin was the all time crooner. He made many women swoon, and through his music has carried on his romantic singing style to many generations.
Dino's Lodge is a wonderful place to remember Dino Paul Crocetti, the shy Italian boy that had the looks, and voice to melt one's heart away.
After making it in music, he started making Movies.
Dean's career exploded and then he became part of the rat pack, where he starred in Las Vegas on many occasions.
Dean Martin lives on forever through music, Fan Clubs, and through his Biography

We feature Dean Martin as our artist here at Foxy's Lounge, because he brought smiles, laughter, and joy to the world. Here's to you Dino! May your legacy live forever. "Salute"

Shandling Settles Suit Against Ex-Manager

From Reuters
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian Garry Shandling Friday settled his $100 million lawsuit against former manager Brad Grey avoiding a potentially embarrassing trial that could have revealed deep secrets between the old friends and top Hollywood figures.

Industry sources likened the settlement to the end of a long and bitter divorce for the men behind Shandling's award winning ``Larry Sanders Show.'' Shandling starred in the HBO series that ended last year and Grey produced it.

Grey is a partner in powerhouse management company, Brillstein-Grey, which is behind shows like NBC's ``Just Shoot Me'' and represents some top stars like Brad Pitt.

Lawyers said the feud was settled amicably in an 11th-hour bargain struck late Thursday night. The deal ended the spectacle of a public trial that was set to begin as soon as next week.

Under the settlement, the parties agreed to exchange rights for various television shows, but no dollar amounts were attached to the deal. Sources said it was safe to assume rights to ``Sanders'' were included, but that could not be confirmed.

A statement from Shandling's publicist, Los Angeles-based PMK Public Relations, said both sides were glad to put the matter behind them.

``Everybody is happy that it's over, and they wish each other well,'' said Grey counsel Charles Shephard, of Los Angeles firm Greenburg, Glusker, Fields, Claman and Machtinger.

A statement from Shandling's attorney David Boies essentially echoed Shephard's comment.

Columbia Pictures, the studio backing Shandling's new $56 million movie ``What Planet Are You From,'' was pushing hard for a settlement to avoid a costly production halt to the film, which, ironically, Grey is producing.

Columbia officials were unavailable to comment.

Shandling filed the $100 million suit in January 1998 alleging Grey was able to ``triple-dip'' into his earnings, extracting fees from managing the comedian and from producing the ``Sanders'' show. Shandling also claimed Grey used his biggest client's fame to make lucrative TV deals with two studios and the ABC television network, and he wanted a share of that money.

Grey countersued, alleging the comedian breached his contract on the ``Sanders'' show by failing to produce some episodes and indiscriminately firing writers, among other actions. He claimed damages of around $18 million.

By settling, the one-time friends avoid protracted litigation in which each would have testified about their private business affairs and, no doubt, provided insights into the clandestine world of Hollywood dealmaking. The Shandling lawsuit has been watched widely in Hollywood for its potential effect on the relationships between entertainers, talent managers and talent agents. Judge Ralph Dau, presiding over the case in Los Angeles County Superior Court, would have been asked to decide whether managing a client and producing that client's show conflicted with acting in the client's best interest or the show's.

Grey's side had lined up a list of Hollywood heavy hitters, including former superagent-turned-manager Michael Ovitz, to bolster its claim that Grey's participation in the ``Sanders'' show was not a breach of duty to his client.

Talent agents, who by law are barred from producing their clients' programs or movies, were particularly interested in the outcome because their ranks grow thinner daily as agents jump to management in pursuit of lucrative production deals.

The gossip at table 3 can hardly be ignored.

Some people are so morbid they only discuss, Dead People Celebrities . It seems they are just curious about their lives, and how dead celebrities lived in hollywood.

As we look towards the back of the lounge, there's a group that insists on evening conversation about Rock 'n' Roll and how it isn't the same.

But most amusing are the ones that can only discuss, The Kennedy Family and how they were so controversial..

Of course there's that group of disgruntled men over there, talking about how some actors such as: Sylvester Stallone , Bruce Willis, are nothing but brawn. Jealous!
